announced changes to the Labour Law. #L#
Four union federations are preparing a joint celebration at
Zagreb's Maksimir park and other major towns.
This year's celebrations will include protests against changes to
the Labour Law which should shorten notice periods, reduce
severance pays, and increase the number of employees with small
employers, who can dismiss workers with no explanation.
The protests will be held under the motto "Warning Before Sending-
Off". Besides traditional banners and flags, unionists will wear
"yellow cards" which they will hand out to the authorities for
"fouls" in connection with workers' rights.
