About 6.5 million eligible voters are to elect deputies to the
250-seat parliament. Nineteen (19) coalitions and parties are running
in the election.
A total of 8,589 polling stations will be opened at 07.00 and closed
at 20:00 hrs Sunday, including 247 polling stations in 19
municipalities in Kosovo.
First returns from the polls are likely to be announced at 22:00 hrs
Sunday. The state electoral commission has said it will publish
official results on 1 January.
The whole of Serbia is one electoral unit, and Serbian nationals who
happen to be outside the country at the day of the vote will not be
able to cast their ballots as no voting has been organised in
embassies or consulates of Serbia-Montenegro.
