PRISTINA, Dec 22 (Hina) - Kosovo's citizens eligible to vote have the right to take part in Serbia's parliamentary elections, set for 28 December, the UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) reported on Monday.

It is usual and internationally recognised practice that eligible
voters have the right to participate in an election no matter whether
they are staying or not on territory ruled by the authorities that are
organising the election, the UNMIK said in a statement.
UNMIK issued the statement in response to a declaration which Kosovo's
assembly adopted proclaiming the organisation of Serbia's polls in
Kosovo as being provocative and contrary to the constitution and
insisting on the ban of that election.
The UN mission says it will not tolerate the denial of anybody's
democratic rights.
