OKUCANI, May 1 (Hina) - The eighth anniversary of "Flash", a military-police operation which liberated western Slavonia areas after four years of Serbian occupation, was marked in Okucani on Thursday with many state officials and
representatives of war veterans and local authorities attending.

Many delegations laid wreaths and lit candles by the central cross
in downtown Okucani.
"Our Homeland War and Operations 'Flash' and 'Storm' are
indisputable, regardless of everything that's coming from the
international tribunal in The Hague. Not even individual episodes
which took place can bring into question their legitimacy and the
significance they had for liberation," said War Veterans' Minister
Ivica Pancic.
He said that "Flash", as the first major victorious operation,
announced "Storm" and the final victory and liberation of the
country.
