BELGRADE, April 25 (Hina) - A former president of Republika Srpska, Biljana Plavsic, whom the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague sentenced to 11 year imprisonment on February 11, will serve her sentence in Sweden, Belgrade's Radio
B92 reported on Friday night referring to sources from Plavsic's family in Belgrade.
BELGRADE, April 25 (Hina) - A former president of Republika Srpska,
Biljana Plavsic, whom the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague
sentenced to 11 year imprisonment on February 11, will serve her
sentence in Sweden, Belgrade's Radio B92 reported on Friday night
referring to sources from Plavsic's family in Belgrade. #L#
The radio added that the tribunal did not wish to comment about the
news for the time being and that information relating to where
someone will serve their sentence is not released until the
convicts actually arrive in the country selected for that purpose.
Radio B92 claimed that a Swedish diplomat, Carl Bildt, helped in
efforts aimed at sending Plavsic to Sweden for serving her
sentence. He testified in her favour during the trial, too.
