MOSTAR, April 30 (Hina) - Criminal charges against the Croatian member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency, Dragan Covic, were raised because he did not respond to a call to be interviewed by the Bosnian Customs Office, the office's
director, Zelimir Rebac, said Wednesday.

Covic is objectively liable because as the Finance Minister in the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina (a little less than 4 years ago),
he decided to write off a case of embezzlement involving 30 million
convertible marks (around 15 million euros), Rebac said. This was
his first comment on the charges raised against Covic.
