Asked to comment on a statement by President Stjepan Mesic that
elections would take place next spring, Racan said he did not have
time to deal with elections because he had more important things to
do.
In Dugopolje near Split Racan chaired a session of the government's
commission on roads, which discussed the construction of roads in
Split-Dalmatia County which would connect to the Zagreb-Split
highway.
Croatian Roads company officials, municipal leaders and mayors of
towns and municipalities in the county acquainted Racan with all
details of the construction of said roads, worth one billion kuna.
