Zivkovic said the talks did not "represent any special relations
between Serbia and Republika Srpska, just the advancement of
cooperation between... Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and
Herzegovina".
Cavic said he advocated cooperation within the framework of the
Dayton peace agreement, which ended the war in Bosnia in late 1995.
He declined to comment on the recent arrest of businessman Momcilo
Mandic, saying only he did not know why Mandic had been arrested but
understood the need of authorities in Serbia to deal with crime.
Zivkovic and Cavic stressed the international obligation to
cooperate with the Hague war crimes tribunal. Cavic said RS had
problems with sealed indictments, as well as with indictees who are
in hiding and evade arrest.
