Tomcic said this to reporters after a meeting of the five ruling
coalition parties and added that the government would complete its
obligations on time and forward into parliamentary procedure the
laws which Croatia must adopt to join the EU.
In order to draw closer to the EU, Croatia must complete about 50
legal projects by the end of the year. The plan is to complete this
job before parliament is dissolved.
Tomcic believes this is a difficult job but that it can be completed
without calling an extraordinary parliamentary session.
There is also the autumn session, which begins on September 15, he
says.
Asked to comment about today's meeting, the parliament head said
the leaders of the five ruling parties discussed the arrival of
Hague tribunal chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte, but that they did
not receive any additional information about her visit.
