The talks focused on coming elections for national minority
councils and representatives in bodies of local and regional self-
governments, as well as on working conditions of the national
minority advisory council.
The council representatives pointed to possible problems in the
organisation and implementation of the elections in the light of
authorities stipulated by the constitutional law on the rights of
national minorities.
The interlocutors agreed to solve the problems and accentuated
their devotion to a successful implementation of the first
elections for minority councils and representatives in local
bodies.
They urged national minority members to turn up for the elections in
as large number as possible.
