ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - The Croatian Electoral Committee (DIP) has called on members of national minorities, who will be voting on May 18 for councils and representatives of national minorities, to adjust or correct their
information on the list of voters, or register.

Only members of minorities will vote in elections for members of
councils and representatives of national minorities in counties,
towns and municipalities. Elections for councils will be held in
units of local and regional self-government in which minorities
make up 1.5% of the overall population, i.e. if they number more
than 200 in towns or municipalities and more than 500 in counties.
One minority representative is to be elected if at least 100
minority members live in a certain town, municipality or county.
More than 6,500 council members from 15 national minorities are to
be elected.
