The meeting was held as part of preparations for an official visit
by Croatian Premier Ivica Racan to Hungary on April 29.
With the aim of improving traffic connections between the two
countries, the committee decided to draft an agreement on building
a bridge across the Mura river as part of the future Rijeka-Zagreb-
Budapest highway. The European Commission will be asked to help
finance the project.
The committee also agreed on the construction of the Gorican -
Letenye border crossing, on speeding up construction works along
corridor Vb and starting works on corridor Vc, as well as on
drafting a bilateral agreement on advancing cooperation in science
and education, the office said.
The two countries' officials adopted a decision to set up a sub-
committee on environmental protection.
