Croatian Radio and Television director Mirko Galic said Nemcic was
the first top official at Eurovision from a South-East European
country, which, he said, was also HRT's success.
Nemcic, the head of HRT's international affairs department, said
her election was unexpected as for the first time in 53 years, since
Eurovision was established, a woman and a candidate not coming from
a financially powerful member, was elected head of the EBU
Assembly's broadcasting committee.
