ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina) - At the closed section of its session on Thursday the Croatian government endorsed an agreement between the Croatia and the Republic of Mauritius on avoiding double income taxation as well as an agreement on
the set-up of an international organisation for the development of fishing in Eastern and Central Europe (EUROFISH) and forwarded the two agreements to the Sabor to be adopted through urgent procedure, the government's Public and Media Relations Office reported.
ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina) - At the closed section of its session on
Thursday the Croatian government endorsed an agreement between the
Croatia and the Republic of Mauritius on avoiding double income
taxation as well as an agreement on the set-up of an international
organisation for the development of fishing in Eastern and Central
Europe (EUROFISH) and forwarded the two agreements to the Sabor to
be adopted through urgent procedure, the government's Public and
Media Relations Office reported. #L#
A decision was also adopted to call for elections for members of
national minority councils in local self-government units and
regional government units as well as a decision to call for the
election of representatives for national minorities in local and
regional self-government units.
The Government gave its approval for the chief state prosecutor to
engage a law firm from the US in the process to block funds belonging
to the former Yugoslavia in US banks. These funds were part of the
reserves that formed the mass to be discussed in the succession of
the former Yugoslavia.
Proceedings were initiated to conclude an agreement between the
Croatian Government and the Republic of San Marino on encouragement
and mutual protection of investments.
The government adopted a decision to publish an administrative
agreement on the application of an agreement on social insurance
between Croatia and Italy singed in New York, September 12, 2002.
The Government decided to announce a decision made by a Temporary
Committee of representatives from Croatia, on the one side, and the
European Community on the other to adopt the committee's
regulations. They were passed by the said committee on April 19,
2002. The Government decided on April 18, 2002 to adopt the
Croatia's stance with regard to a temporary agreement on trade and
other related issues between Croatia and the European Community.
The government's decision was fully implemented by the Croatian
members of the said committee.
