The workers will also demand that the company's bankruptcy
administrator deliver written notes on the transfer of their work
contracts in the bankrupt Sisak Ironworks onto the factory's new
owner and employer -- the Russian company Mechel Ironworks.
The new owner has called over 100 workers in the steel plant to
report for work tomorrow to make preparations for re-launching
production.
The unions active in the ironworks have convened tomorrow's meeting
after minimum pays for January and February were not paid on Friday,
pursuant to a March 6 government decision, but postponed for
tomorrow at 9 a.m.
The bankruptcy administrator in the ironworks secured a 10 million
kuna (EUR1.3 mln) short-term loan necessary for the payroll from
the INA oil company.
The administrator and the unions have also announced that the
contract on the sale of the ironworks goes into force tomorrow.
(EUR1 = 7.6 kuna)
