SISAK, March 8 (Hina) - The third and last party in the sale of

last night, a union representative told Hina on Saturday. #L#
Iorich submitted his signature by fax, thus fulfilling the Croatian
government's request of March 6, said Mato Somic. The government
had postponed putting into force the sales contract because not all
the required signatures had been put on the contract annexe.
Somic said the unions active in the ironworks hoped the government
would make the decisions necessary to verify the contract as early
as Monday.
The annexe to the contract on the sale of the ironworks to
Switzerland's Conares Trading and its Croatian company Mechel
Ironworks, which bought the Sisak plants on behalf of the Russian
company Mechel, was signed on Friday by the bankruptcy
administrator in the ironworks, Ilija Maric, and Mechel's
representative for South East Europe, Viktor Trigubko.
After the government decided to postpone verifying the sales
contract, unions active in the ironworks yesterday convened an
extraordinary session at which they gave all the parties in the
venture until noon on Monday to submit the sales contract annexe
with all the necessary signatures and urged the government to adopt
the decisions required to put the contract into force.
