ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian parliament Committee for Gender Equality, Milanka Opacic, together with other committee members spoke on Monday in Zagreb with an independent expert from the UNIFEM, Elizabeth Rehn,
the parliament's public relations office reported.

expert from the UNIFEM, Elizabeth Rehn, the parliament's public

Rehn expressed satisfaction with legislative progress towards
promoting gender equality and the rights of women in Croatia. She
explained that her visit was motivated by a UN report on the status
of women in war affected countries in the world. She informed that
she was elected as president of the 1st Stability Pact Table that,
amongst else, would be concerned with issues of gender equality.
