The new parliament has 126 seats, 91 Serbian and 35 Montenegrin.
Zoran Zivkovic, vice president of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran
Djindjic's Democratic Party, has announced the DOS ruling
coalition, which has 37 seats in the new parliament, will form a
coalition with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic's
Democratic Party.
Montenegro's Svetozar Marovic has been announced as presidential
candidate who might be elected as early as Tuesday, terminating
incumbent Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica's term.
The head of state is also the premier designate who must elect the
ministers of defence, foreign affairs, foreign and internal trade,
and human and minority rights within five days of stepping into
office.
