The adoption of the Charter in the Assemblies of Serbia and
Montenegro represent the final step towards constituting a new
joint parliament (of the Serbian/Montenegrin new union) which has
been announced for Friday and next Monday.
The Charter envisages that these rights should be protected and
directly regulated by legislation in the union's two members.
Once the current Federal Assembly adopts the Charter, on Friday or
Monday, a new joint parliament of Serbia and Montenegro will be
constituted. The assemblies of Serbia and Montenegro have already
nominated their MPs to the joint parliament.
