In today's statement the international union association harshly
protested against the reduction of workers' rights in Croatia,
including the freedom of organising within a union and the right to
collective negotiations which is guaranteed by conventions 87 and
98 of the International Labour Organisation.
The alliance believes that the government violates the principles
of social partnership advocated by the European Union, and supports
Croatian unions' protests against the said amendments.
The alliance gathers 287 unions with more than ten million members
in 124 countries.
