BELGRADE, Nov 6 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunicacalled a meeting of top Serbian officials on Friday evening to talkabout Kosovo. The officials agreed that the foundation for all talksin the solving of the situation
in Kosovo be UN Security CouncilResolution 1244 and the Serbian Government Plan on Kosovo. It was alsodecided that representatives of the authorities in Belgrade and KosovoSerbs must participate in talks on the decentralisation of Kosovo onan equal basis, a statement issued after the meeting said.
BELGRADE, Nov 6 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica
called a meeting of top Serbian officials on Friday evening to talk about
Kosovo. The officials agreed that the foundation for all talks in the solving
of the situation in Kosovo be UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the
Serbian Government Plan on Kosovo. It was also decided that representatives of
the authorities in Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs must participate in talks on the
decentralisation of Kosovo on an equal basis, a statement issued after the
meeting said.Serbian President Boris Tadic was not present at the meeting due to his
other engagements, but said earlier he entirely supported the Serbian
Government Plan on Kosovo and advocated the decentralisation of the UN
province.
At the meeting, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroslav Labus proposed
the holding of an international conference on the final Kosovo status.
Apart from Kostunica and Labus, the meeting was attended by Serbian
Parliament Speaker Predrag Markovic, Serbia-Montenegro Foreign Minister Vuk
Draskovic and the head of the coordinating centre for Kosovo, Nebojsa Covic, as
well as all presidents of the parliamentary clubs of deputies.
