"The Council has decided that the Army of Serbia and Montenegro will transfer to the competence of the Serbian Interior Ministry the system of controlling the state border in the Republic of Serbia," a statement from the session said.
"In this regard, the Supreme Defence Council will propose that the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro authorise the Defence Minister of Serbia and Montenegro, Predrag Davinic, to regulate the hand-over of duties with the the Government of Serbia," the statement said.
The state border in the territory of Montenegro has been controlled by the Montenegrin police.
