Gordan Bakota on Tuesday met members of an association gathering World War II
victims of the 1941-1945 Italian and German occupation, the ministry said in a
statement.The meeting was held at the association's request following their
proposal to the Italian government of last year to compensate Croatian citizens
for the damage they suffered during the WWII fascist regime.
The ministry official informed them that the Croatian government had
formed a working group to regulate their rights.
Members of the association were recently also received by President
Stjepan Mesic.
