ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - Croatian parliamentary deputies on Tuesday afternoon welcomed a proposal to confirm an agreement on collateral between the Croatian government and the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the financing of a
project of construction of a gas supply system.

afternoon welcomed a proposal to confirm an agreement on collateral
between the Croatian government and the European Investment Bank (EIB)
for the financing of a project of construction of a gas supply

The project refers to the construction of a network which would link
gas fields in northern Adriatic with other parts of the country.
The project is worth 187 million euros, of which 90 million will be
provided in the form of an EIB loan.
The government will invest 70 million euros, while some 20 million
will be secured through a short-term loan from the Croatian
Reconstruction and Development Bank.
