Del Ponte's plane cannot land in Sarajevo due to fog

Sarajevo due to fogSARAJEVO, Nov 10 (Hina) - The chief prosecutor of the InternationalCriminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla del Ponte,who was scheduled to attend an international conference in Sarajevo ontransition judiciary in Bosnia-Herzegovina, did not land in Sarajevoon Thursday due to fog, a coordinator of a nongovernmentalorganisation called the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN)that organised the conference, Sanela Dervisbegovic, told Hina.
SARAJEVO, Nov 10 (Hina) - The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla del Ponte, who was scheduled to attend an international conference in Sarajevo on transition judiciary in Bosnia-Herzegovina, did not land in Sarajevo on Thursday due to fog, a coordinator of a nongovernmental organisation called the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) that organised the conference, Sanela Dervisbegovic, told Hina.

Dervisbegovic said del Ponte's plane was circling above Sarajevo for 45 minutes, but at the end it flew to Dubrovnik due to fog.

Del Ponte's spokeswoman Florance Hartmann confirmed that the plane was unable to land in Sarajevo due to fog.

Del Ponte's speech will be read at the Sarajevo conference.
