In his talks with Tadic earlier today, Jessen-Petersen voiced hope the Serbian president would use his two-day visit to gain full insight into the situation in Kosovo and have opportunity to talk with representatives of all ethnic communities in the province.
The UN official said Tadic's visit might help settle the issue of power supply in some Serb villages in Kosovo.
Jessen-Petersen once again called on Kosovo Serbs to participate in political and democratic processes in the province with a view to achieving the biggest progress in issues important for them.
He and Tadic also talked about the reconstruction of Orthodox churches damaged during the unrest of last March.
