THE HAGUE, Feb 3 (Hina) - A retired general of Serbia and
Montenegro's army, Vladimir Lazarevic, who is indicted for war crimes in Kosovo
in 1999 by the Hague war crimes tribunal, was transferred to the tribunal's
detention unit Scheveningen on Thursday, the tribunal stated.The date of Lazarevic's initial appearance before the tribunal will be
made public at a later date, the tribunal said.
Lazarevic and another three Serbian army and police generals - Nebojsa
Pavkovic, Sreten Lukic and Vlastimir Djordjevic - were indicted on October 2,
2003 for war crimes committed during the Serbian police intervention in Kosovo
in 1999.
