After the talks, Rupel said that the future of Serbia-Montenegro and Kosovo, whose status could not be solved without the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, lay only in European integration processes.
Rupel told reporters that in the context of the further enlargement of the European Union, "there is room for the entire south-eastern Europe, i.e. for Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo".
According to a press release issued by Kostunica's Office, Rupel said that the OSCE would be further engaged in efforts aimed at finding a solution for the situation in Kosovo. He went on to say that Slovenia fully supported Serbia-Montenegro in its bid to enter the EU.
Rupel should have met Serbia-Montenegro President Svetozar Marovic, but the latter was unable to arrive in Belgrade after his flight from Podgorica was cancelled due to bad weather.
