MOSTAR, Jan 24 (Hina) - European Union peacekeeping troops in
Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday set up a checkpoint on the Makljen mountain pass
on the Prozor-Gornji Vakuf road, about 80 kilometres west of Sarajevo, in order
to cut off a network of organised crime. This routine operation, aimed at uncovering illegal activities, is
EUFOR's contribution to the fight against organised crime and corruption. It
has nothing to do with indicted war criminals, the EU force said.
EUFOR troops were checking passengers' documents and in certain cases
thoroughly searched vehicles and their drivers.
