After an extended period of rangebound trade in both futures and physical markets, scattered demand emerged in some key European markets, they said. But spinners generally responded with limited price-testing as many were unconvinced that a fundamental change in the value of cotton would follow. New York is set to be the main focus of attention for European traders this week, the only immediate factor likely to have any impact on the established trend for hand-to-mouth buying, market sources commented. 111015 MET mar 97
