Analysts and traders said activity was lackluster with no feature or news in the market. "Most of the volume was in the switches," an analyst said. May cotton settled unchanged at 75.63 cents per pound, traded 76.10 to 75.60 cents. Spot March went out 0.11 cent higher at 73.98 cents, while July and months further forward ended barely higher or lower. A floor source said May would have to break through 76.20 cents before the market shifts to a higher range. Volume was estimated at 5,500 lots, up from Friday's official 4,248 lots. 040950 MET mar 97
