SARAJEVO, Sept 13 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation Constituent
Assembly broke up on Friday over the arrangement of the city of
Sarajevo.
Speaker Mariofil Ljubic called a break at about 4 p.m. to
allow the Benches of the two leading parties - the Moslem-led Party
of Democratic Action and the Croatian Democratic Union - to reach
an agreement on the issue.
When the House resumed work again an hour later, there was no
quorum and the session broke up.
According to HDZ Member Ivan Bender, the issue had been
successfully resolved at the last session of the Federation Forum a
few weeks ago, but the Moslem side subsequently failed to sign the
agreement drafted at that session.
Meanwhile, the HDZ Bench has decided to boycott further
parliamentary proceedings until the Sarajevo issue has been
resolved, the Bench said in a statement, carried by the Bosnian
Croat news agency Habena.
