SARAJEVO, Sept 13 (Hina) - The appelate election subcommission of
the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)
mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina said on Friday it would punish the
Bosnian Serb Democratic Party (SDS) unless its leader retracted her
claims about the total independence of the Serb Republic.
Unless Biljana Plavsic or some other SDS official read a
statement written by OSCE on three Serb television news programmes
on Friday night, the election commission would take the first three
of five SDS candidates off the list of SDS candidates for the
Bosnian Serb assembly, OSCE subcommission president Judge Finn
Lynghjem said in Sarajevo.
Lynghjem declined to reveal the contents of the statement.
