ZAGREB NEXT WEEK
ZAGREB, Sept 5 (Hina) - The Committee for Relations with European
Non-Member Countries of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary
Assembly is to hold its session in Zagreb on 10 September, and will
also visit Split on the Adriatic coast and Supetra on the island of
Brac as part of a visit to Croatia between 9 and 13 September.
This was the first session of the Parliamentary Assembly's
Committee to take place in Croatia, Croatian parliament vice-
president Zarko Domljan told reporters.
The Committee is one of the three included in the process of
Croatia's admission into the Council of Europe.
On an invitation by the Croatian parliament, the 30 members of
the Committee headed by Committee president Jean Seitlinger are
expected to meet with Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa,
representatives of ethnic minorities and non-government
organizations and most Croatian media.
Also possible is a meeting with Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman and parliament president Vlatko Pavletic.
The members of the Committee will also visit the Split County.
