SARAJEVO, Feb 20 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat and Moslem representatives
on Thursday agreed that the unified police of Sarajevo Canton would
begin to perform its duties on February 26.
At a meeting of the Forum of the (Croat-Moslem) Federation,
held in the US Embassy in Sarajevo, they agreed that a ceremony of
presenting Sarajevo Canton police would be held next Wednesday.
The session, chaired by the Bosnian Federal Industry Minister,
Izudin Kapetanovic, revolved around implementation of a protocol on
the organization of the city of Sarajevo and establishment of new
municipalities.
According to Kapetanovic, a special working group, in
cooperation with Council of Europe representatives, would soon send
views on the establishment of new municipalities to the Federal
Justice Ministry. That stand along with the opinion of Environment
and Physical Planning Ministry would be the base for passing a law
on organization of new municipalities.
The Forum of Federation on Thursday also agreed on setting up
a special working group for media.
The Moslem (Bosniak) delegation, led by Minister Izudin
Kapetanovic, included Federal Interior Minister Mehmed Zilic, a
Deputy Justice Minister Safet Pasic and Sarajevo Canton Prefect
Midhat Haracic.
Croat representatives were a Federal Vice Premier, Drago
Bilandzija, Justice Minister Mato Tadic, a Deputy Interior
Minister, Jozo Leutar and a member of the Sarajevo branch of the
HDZ party, Slavko Zelic.
