KORNBLUM ARRIVES IN SARAJEVO TO STIMULATE DAYTON ACCORDS' IMPLEMEN

IMPLEMEN $ TATION SARAJEVO, Feb 2 (Hina) - US Assistant Secretary of State, John Kornblum, arrived in Sarajevo on Sunday to stimulate the full implementation of the Dayton Accords as well as to give an incentive to the functioning of the Croat-Moslem Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bosnia-Herzegovina's collective presidency's chairman, Alija Izetbegovic, received Kornblum upon his arrival. According to a statement issued after their meeting, Izetbegovic and Kornblum discussed further establishment of bodies of the authorities of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Bosnian Federation, the setting up of a Central Bank, introduction of a single currency, and the human rights' situation in Bosnia. They also talked about the situation in the northern Bosnian town of Brcko and the course of arbitration of this issue as well as about the establishment of city administrations in Sarajevo, Mostar and other towns in the Federation. The U.S. diplomat is to chair Monday's session of the Forum of the Federation in the Bosnian capital. The session will focus on settlements of the pressing problems that occur in the Federation's functioning. The Forum is expected to consider the issues of establishing police forces in the cantons and the organization of municipal authorities in some parts of the Federation. It will also discuss the organization of Sarajevo in line with a protocol signed more than three months ago by the Bosnian collective Presidency's members Alija Izetbegovic and Kresimir Zubak who is the Federation's President as well.
