Today's session was not attended by the representatives
of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) in Bosnia and
Herzegovina.
The Federation House of Representatives has 140 members
and 36 of them are HDZ representatives. The HDZ headquarters
yesterday called on its members to boycott the work of the
Federation parliament until the Bosniac side agrees to a
political compromise on the election of new Federation
leaders.
According to today's decisions of the Federation House of
Representatives, the future Federation government will have 15
ministries. Parliament representatives also supported a
program on government activities in the next 100 days.
The most important government tasks in the next three
months are the completion of the arbitration procedure for the
eastern Bosnian town of Brcko, property transformation, the
establishment of the Federation army, Federation and cantonal
police forces, the adoption of a budget and the establishment
of a judicial system.
Representatives of the leading Muslim Party of Democratic
Action (SDA) and five Opposition parties criticized a bill on
the sale of flats with tenancy rights as well as a bill on
restitution and privatization of companies.
The government announced that it would prepare amended
bills on privatization for the next House of Representatives'
