SARAJEVO/MOSTAR, Feb 11 (Hina) - The office of Bosnian Federation President
Kresimir Zubak said in a statement on Tuesday that incidents in the southern
town of Mostar on Monday and several days before had not occurred by chance.
The statement said that simultaneously with clashes on the streets of
Mostar "dramatic events" took place on a section of the main road north of
the town, where "an organized group of citizens helped by police" stopped
vehicles with registration plates issued in Croatia or Herzeg-Bosnia and
beat, maltreated and looted the passengers.
According to the statement, 24 passengers were injured, four vehicles
were destroyed and seized, and a large amount of money was stolen.
Among the victims were the head of the Posavina cantonal government,
Neven Djukic, his driver and co-passengers, said the statement carried by
the Bosnian Croat news agency Habena.
