$ SARAJEVO, Feb 7 (Hina) - The government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina annulled the decision of its Finance Ministry that the Croat-owned company "Lijanovic" from Siroki Brijeg, 20 kilometres west of Mostar, be exempted from a DM 23 million tax. The decision was reached after an almost routine discussion and without the participation of Croat ministers who had walked out of the government session on Thursday because the Moslem side had refused to include a bill on the establishment of new municipalities into the parliament discussion.
MINISTERS $ SARAJEVO, Feb 7 (Hina) - The government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina annulled the decision of its Finance Ministry that the Croat-owned company "Lijanovic" from Siroki Brijeg, 20 kilometres west of Mostar, be exempted from a DM 23 million tax. The decision was reached after an almost routine discussion and without the participation of Croat ministers who had walked out of the government session on Thursday because the Moslem side had refused to include a bill on the establishment of new municipalities into the parliament discussion. #L# The government revoked the Finance Ministry's decision, although the federal Legislature Office's stance was that it was in the Bosnian Federation Supreme Court's competence to decide about the legality of the Finance Ministry's decision. There is no appeal from the verdict and the finance minister has been advised to initiate administrative proceedings before the Supreme Court. Moslem members of the Herzegovina Canton government asked for the replacement of the Canton's Premier Mijo Brajkovic, accusing him of obstructing the establishment of a unified canton government account. East Mostar police issued a statement on Friday that persons wearing HVO (Croatian Defense Council) uniforms had on 5 February stopped a vehicle carrying two American armed force generals engaged in the "Equip and Train" programme in Bosnia- Herzegovina. The organization of new municipalities, the establishment of a unified Herzegovina Canton government account and the freedom of movement in Mostar were themes discussed by the Federation Forum in the beginning of the week.
