ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - The fate of the two foreign journalists,
detained by Serbs since Monday, is still uncertain, UNPROFOR
headqueters in Zagreb said today.
"UNPROFOR's civil affairs chief and military commander in UNPA
North are still negotiating with the local Serbs, trying to find
out what had happened to the two journalists. No further details
were given, accept they were still detained", UNPROFOR spokesman
Alexander Ivanko said.
French and American journalists were seen for the last time on
Monday night in Topusko, UNPA North, when they were taken away by
Serb police, UNPROFOR said on Tuesday.
Ivanko added that as far as UNPROFOR was concerned, all was
ready for the opening of the highway through UNPA West.
But chances were slight that the highway would be opened on
Thursday, Ivanko said.
