BELGRADE, Dec 4 (Hina) - Britain's and France's Foreign Ministers
Douglas Hurd and Alain Juppe this afternoon should hold talks with
Serbia's President Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade.
In a last-ditch bid to revive the Bosnian peace process
Foreign Ministers Hurd and Juppe were expected to try to persuade
Milosevic to exert his influence on rebel Serbs in Bosnia to accept
the Contact Group's peace plan for Bosnia, the independent Belgrade
media reported on Sunday afternoon.
Citing foreign press the Belgrade media said the aim of
British and French Foreign Ministers' visit was to give impetus to
effort for a negotiated settlement to the war in Bosnia.
Hurd and Juppe would inform Milosevic of concessions the
Contact Group was ready to grant to Bosnian Serbs if they accepted
the peace plan, according to the same sources.
A press conference is scheduled to be held tonight after the
working dinner, but it is still unknown whether Milosevic will
appear before the journalists after a longer time of not holding
press conferences.
