BOSNIAN ARMY FORCES SEIZE PECIGRAD, WESTERN BOSNIA

SARAJEVO, Aug 1 (Hina) - UNPROFOR spokesman in Sarajevo Major Rob Annink said on Monday the Bosnian army forces had seized the township of Pecigrad after two days of heavy fighting with renegade Moslem forces loyal to local leader Fikret Abdic. Abdic's forces retaliated by heavily shelling the area, but Bosnian army forces kept gaining considerable ground, while at the same time fighting against their Serb foes on the Grabez Plateau, where 135 detonations had been recorded in the past 24 hours, said Annink.
