ANKARA, May 26 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic,
who today started his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, had a
telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Erdol Inonu,
while he was stopping shortly at the Ankara airport.
The two ministers discussed the current situation in the
region, especially the latest developments in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and the occupied Croatian territory.
Granic expressed his support to the latest NATO air strikes
on Bosnian Serb military targets at Pale and said a firmer role
of UNPROFOR and the international community was needed in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
Inonu expressed full support to the reintegration of the
occupied Croatian territory.
Both ministers voiced their concern over the announced union
between Croatian and Bosnian Serbs.
The two ministers said they expected an immediate
implementation of the UNCRO mandate, as well as the international
community's more resolute actions aimed at protecting Croatia's
territorial integrity and its internationally recognized borders.
In an interview to the Turkish national news agency, Granic
said that he expected new NATO air strikes on Serb military
targets in Bosnia-Herzegovina, since Serbs had rejected
UNPROFOR's ultimatum.
The latest NATO air strike was a message to Bosnian Serbs to
accept negotiations and stop attacking UN-protected areas and
civilian targets in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Granic said.
