MOSTAR, May 19 (Hina) - Croatia's foreign minister, Mate Granic,
today met the European Union administrator of Mostar, Hans
Koschnik, for talks on the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Granic said that it was of the utmost importance to find a
final political solution to the problem of Mostar and that talks on
this issue should start as soon as possible.
"This would also improve the overall work of the EU mission in
Mostar, which Croatia fully supports," he added.
Granic said that the results achieved in the last year showed
that the EU mission was pursuing the right course.
Koschnik said that Mostar should provide a platform for the
joint Moslem-Croat federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He said that the EU administration supported the establishment
of the Bosnian federation and its confederation with Croatia.
"But first it's necessary to help the federation to stand on
its feet," Koschnik stressed.
