SPLIT, Jan 12 (Hina) - The Croatian Friends of Nature Movement
"Lijepa Nasa" today sent a letter to Green Peace asking their
experts to inspect the area of Guduca and Bribisnica brooks, in the
Krka National Park Krka, and assess the situation after an oil
spill from an UNPROFOR tank.
The request was sent to the Green Peace experts because the
UNPROFOR denied Croatian experts access to that particular Croatian
UNPA region.
The letter detailed the location and the significance of the
"Krka" National Park - one of the most interesting ornithological
reservations in Europe. Furthermore the river Krka is home to seven
endemic types of fish.
