ZAGREB, Dec 31 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received
a delegation of the South Korean company DAEWOO on Tuesday, the
President's Office said in a statement.
The President was informed about DAEWOO's plans to invest in
Croatian tourism, banking, telecommunications, manufacture of car
parts, and the use of the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka.
Tudjman said that Croatia was open to foreign investment,
expressing his satisfaction with DAEWOO's readiness to invest in
Croatia.
The meeting was also attended by Presidential Chief of Staff
Hrvoje Sarinic, Economy Minister Davor Stern and Presidential
Advisers Darko Grguric and Branko Jeren.
The DAEWOO delegation included the company's President, W.C.
Kim, President for Telecommunications S.K. Park and Executive
Director J.C. Sah, the statement concluded.
