SEOUL, Dec 13 (Hina) - The South Korean government supports the
increasing interest of Korean business people in investing in
Croatia, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Seung Coo
Han said in Seoul in Friday after meeting Croatian Foreign Minister
Mate Granic.
Granic, who is heading a Croatian delegation on an official
visit, said after the talks that South Korea was showing a growing
interest in investing in Croatia.
The talks focused on the signing of agreements on the
protection and promotion of investments, prevention of double
taxation and cancellation of visa requirements, he said.
"We discussed the support of the Korean government for
Samsung's investing in the port of Rijeka, and the construction of
a Samsung administrative building in Zagreb, which would cover not
only Croatia but other countries as well," Granic said.
South Korean officials also showed a great interest in
investing in telecommunications, tourism and shipbuilding.
