'We have agreed to sign three important agreements - on the
protection and promotion of investment, the prevention of double
taxation and the cancellation of visa requirements for diplomats
and businesspeople', Granic said.
The most important part was the interest of the largest South-
Korean corporations - Samsung, Hyundai, Daewoo and LG - in concrete
projects in Croatia, such as the construction of a container
terminal in the Rijeka port, as well as the construction of
telecommunication systems, procurement of concessions for the
construction of motor ways and projects in tourism.
'It is clear that Croatia's stable political and economic
situation was a precondition for their interest', said Granic,
adding that after the visit one should expect a more frequent
exchange of visits between Croatian and South-Korean businessmen.
