ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa met
the president of the South Korean corporation Daewoo, W. C. Kim,
in Zagreb on Monday for talks on possibilities of investment in
Croatia.
The Daewoo delegation has arrived at the invitation of the
Croatian government.
Daewoo representative Sung Kyou Arka said that his company
was mostly interested in investing in Croatian tourism,
production and telecommunications. Arka added that Croatia
had well-educated specialists as an important basis for economic
development.
Croatian Economy Minister Davor Stern said after the talks
that Croatia was interested in establishing closer links with
South Korea because of a high degree of development this country
had achieved over a short period of time.
The meeting was also attended by Croatian Investment
Promotion Agency director Vanja Kalogjera.
