SARAJEVO, Sept 12 (Hina) - The Election Appellate Sub-Commission of
the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in
Europe in Sarajevo on Thursday ordered the temporary recall of a
member of the election commission in Muslim-controlled Bugojno
(central Bosnia), Dzenana Abdalajbegovic.
According to a decision of the Appellate Sub-Commission,
signed by Judge Pino Lynghjem, Abdalajbegovic, in the function of
assistant to the Bugojno Mayor, violated the rules of the Temporary
Election Sub-Commission, because she was biased and did not
cooperate with IFES, an agency for the training of voters.
The Sub-Commission also determined that Bugojno municipal
officials insufficiently helped in the training of voters in
accordance with rules and regulations of the Temporary Election
Sub-Commission, and therefore, in order to enable free and
democratic elections, announced a reinvestigation of the situation
in Bugojno.
